A message from ride leader.

Mountain biking is accessible to all riders. It can be for those that want gentle off road riding on canals, bridleways and trails to those who want something more adventurous, on bumpier terrain. 

Mountain biking is a great any time of year. It’s about the smiles and not the miles, you won’t move as quick as road bikers but you can work as hard! 

It’s a great alternative in the winter to Zwift. When the weather means road riding can be treacherous, jump on a MTB bike. If you don’t like cycling looking at a screen then go out and enjoy the elements and take in nature. 

MTB is ideal for those who don’t want to cycle on roads, and prefer to be in traffic free environments and quieter country lanes. 

The club has a few keen MTB and can organise rides on terrains to suit, if there is the interest. locally we have the McClean Way and Chase Water and further a field there is a whole host of trails on Cannock Chase.
